Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
The prelude of your exciting China tour starts when you meet our professional local guide at the exit of Beijing airport after reclaiming your luggage. The guide will accompany you in a comfortable vehicle to the hotel and help you with the check-in procedure. The rest of the day is left for you to have a good rest or to become familiar with our capital city by yourself.
Day 2: Beijing
Today your tour officially starts. head to the world famous Tian'anmen Square, the Forbidden City in the morning and the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. Later a Beijing speciality Duck Dinner at a famous restaurant . (B+L+D)
Day 3: Beijing
Today you have a chance to experience and test yourself - climbing Badaling, the most famous section of the Great Wall. A rich lunch, highly rated by previous tour members, awaits you at a local Sichuan food restaurant. After a short break, continue to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in which the emperors of the Ming Dynasty were buried. On the way back to the downtown area, you can take photos of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) at a distance. An a la carte dinner priced at CNY100.00 net (included) is served in the famous Wangfujing area tonight. (B+L+D)
Day 4: Beijing - Xian
This morning, you will proceed to the luxurious royal garden, the Summer Palace. After lunch, take a flight to your next travel destination - Xian, a city which was the capital of 13 dynasties in Chinese history. Afterwards, you may take an early night or walk in the city to see the night life. (B+L+D)
Day 5: Xian
Head to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, the amazing underground project built more than 2000 years ago. This site is definitely a must see for any visitor to China. We drive you back to town to have a tasty a la carte lunch valued at CNY80.00 net per person (price included) at a restaurant. In the afternoon, continue appreciating the long history of Xian. After a tour of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, your evening will be enlightened by a Tang Dynasty Dinner Show at the Tang Dynasty Palace (Add: No.75, Chang'an Road, Xian). (B+L+D)
Day 6: Xian
Old City Wall, a local family and the Great Mosque of Hui people, one of the major minorities in China. For those who love collecting souvenirs and gifts for families and friends, the Muslim Bazaar beside the mosque is a wonderful place to go. (B+L+D)
Day 7: Xian - Guilin
Say goodbye to this ancient city this morning. On the way to the airport, stop at the Hanyangling Museum and visit the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi. Leave for Guilin by flight after lunch, your local guide and driver will wait for you at the exit of Guilin airport and escort you to the best local hotel that we have reserved for you. No entertainment is arranged tonight so that you can have a good rest or get to know the city on your own. Your guide will be glad to offer advice and suggestions. (B+L+D)
Day 8: Guilin - Yangshuo
Early in the morning, you will be transferred to the port for an enjoyable cruise on the picturesque Li River to Yangshuo. The scenerey along the Li River is just like an art gallery. Here is one little tip - as the lunch on the ship may not be to your taste, please have a good breakfast at the hotel in the morning. At about 13:00, disembark at Yangshuo and after brief refreshments at the hotel, you will experience a short bicycle tour through rural Yangshuo scenery. An electric car is also available if you prefer. A short visit to a village family on the way allows you to have close contact with local people. No dinner is provided tonight so you can explore the well-known West Street and find your favorite food. (B+L)
Day 9: Yangshuo - Guilin
A leisurely free morning is scheduled for you to have more time at this Xanadu, cycling around town or wandering along West Street, at your will. At 13:00, meet the guide at the hotel lobby and have lunch. Then drive about 1.5 hours back to Guilin for a city tour including Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill. After dinner, an Ethnic Minority Song and Dance Show at Lijiang Theatre is ready for you to experience. (B+L+D)
Day 10: Guilin - Chongqing
We leave the whole morning and lunch for you to arrange. You could lie in or just stroll around. Take an afternoon flight to Chongqing, a mountain city where your Yangtze River Cruise will begin. After dinner, our guide will help you board the deluxe New Century cruise ship. As the ship departs from Chongqing at about 23:30, your relaxing Yangtze River cruise starts. (B+D)
Day 11: Chongqing - Fengdu
The river guide will give a brief introduction to the cruise after the breakfast. Depending on the sailing schedule, your initial onshore excursion will be to the Snowy Jade Cave. Afterwards, continue sailing to the Three Gorges. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held tonight. (B+L+D)
Day 12: Badong - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping
After a big breakfast, disembark at Badong to take an exciting pea-boat floating along the Shennong Stream. Back to the ship to have lunch and continue the cruise into the western section of the Xiling Gorge. Pass through the splendid five-step ship lock in the evening. (B+L+D)
Day 13: Yichang - Shanghai
Disembark for an excursion to the under-construction Three Gorges Dam. Then pack your luggage and complete disembarkation formalities. The local guide in Yichang will pick you up and your cruise trip ends here. If time allows, you will have a short Yichang city tour to the Yichang Museum. Following the visit, we see you off to the airport for the flight to your last destination Shanghai. Check in at the hotel and have a good rest. As we have not arranged dinner for you tonight, you may ask your local guide for advice. (B+L)
Day 14: Shanghai
A day tour will show you the quintessence of Shanghai.
Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden and a short but memorable Huangpu River cruise tour are scheduled today. This evening, please enjoy the evening highlights we prepare for you. The farewell dinner of authentic Shanghai cuisine valued at CNY105.00 net per person (price included) is served at the 260-year old Wang Bao He restaurant in Central Hotel, and then an enticing Portman Acrobatic Show is performed at Shanghai Centre Theatre. Your guide and driver will accompany you back to the hotel after the show and they will say goodbye to you then. (B+L+D)
Day 15: Departure from Shanghai
Your wonderful tour ends today. We hope you have made some friends and taken beautiful photos. please make sure you get to the airport on time as this transportation is not included in our service. (B) |
