D01 Fly to Lhasa
Accommodation: Kailash Hotel 3* or similar class if late booking
Welcome to Tibet! Upon arrival transferred to the hotel. Better not do any activities at the first day in order to acclimatize Tibet environment. Better to drink some water and have a good sleep for next day’s holy sightseeing excursion.

Upon your arrival in Lhasa, you will find air is extremely pure and the sky is deeply blue.

D02 Lhasa sightseeing [B+L]
Accommodation: Kailash Hotel 3* or similar class if late booking
Visit Potala Palace and Jokang Monastery today, then walk on the Barkhor street surrounding Jokhang, a big free market with its prolific stalls for selling local specialties.

D03 Lhasa sightseeing [B+L]
Accommodation: Kailash Hotel 3* or similar class if late booking
Visit Drepung Monastery for the whole morning, later after lunch, visit Sera monastery.  We can do the Sera Kora walk of about 1 hr and then catch the famous debate session of the monks before returning back to Lhasa.

D04 Lhasa/Gyantse/Shigatse [B]
Accommodation: Shigatse Manasaovar Hotel 3* or similar class if late booking
Drive about 10 hours covering 350km to get to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. On the way have a fantastic view of the holy lake of Yamdrok Yumtso (4441 m). Visit Pelkor Monastery as well as the splendid Kumbum Stupa (100-Thousand-Buddha Pagoda) near Gyantse. There are 265 km bumpy road on the way and today’s schedule is a little bit tight.

D05 Shigatse/Shegar [B]  
Accommodation: Shegar Everest Hotel
Morning have a tour to Tashilumpu Monastery, then continue driving to Shegar via Gyatsola Mountain Pass (5220m). It takes 6-7 hours to get there covering 310 km. The road is bumpy and dusty. Today you can appreciate the evening scenery of Mt. Everest enough.

D06 Shegar/EBC [B]  
Accommodation: Sightseeing Hotel
Drive further in to the mountains to get to Mt. Everest Base Camp. Today have to get up and leave for Mt. Everest earlier than before. The road condition to the Base Camp is rough, back and forth distance is 220 km. On the way visit Rongbuk Monastery. After enjoy the stunning view of Mt.Everest, check in the guesthouse near Rongbuk, but the accommodation condition there is very poor.

D07 EBC/Zhangmu [B]
Accommodation: Zhangmu Pema Hotel 2* or similar class if late booking
Drive 6 hours covering 260km to get to Zhangmu, the border town between Nepal and China. You have a view of Mt. Everest at the foot before and now you could look at it in distance.

D08 Zhangmu/Kathmandu [B]    
Go through the formalities of China Customs and over to the other side of Friendship Bridge. There are 120 km paved road but the speed is not fast since it is always zigzag road. It will take another 5 hours to get to the destination. If you need, we could arrange our partner in Nepal side to pick you up at the border and transfer you to the hostel, tour services end.
